Substitute Bride and Her Husband Who Disappeared novel Chapter 126

A reporter standing by, speechless, cast a glance at the one who had just asked the question.

Such an audacious query! Charlie had jetted off to Europe on the day of their wedding and hadn't returned in three years. It was clearly a business alliance, devoid of love.

Everyone knew the truth, yet she insisted on voicing it. Was she so desperate for a headline that she would risk her career?

The staff members around darted anxious glances at Charlie, fearful that the executive, who rarely gave interviews, might lose his temper.

Charlie lifted his gaze, casting an indifferent glance at the reporter, and then shifted his attention to Nancy, who was practicing her martial arts moves.

"Vivi…"

His voice wasn't loud, but Nancy heard him. Seeing Charlie surrounded by reporters, she excused herself from Matthew and approached him.

"Honey, what's the matter?"

He gently reached out, taking Nancy's hand. Seeing the fine sweat on her forehead, he furrowed his brows and asked softly, "Tired?"

At his touch, Nancy's cheeks flushed visibly on camera. She bit her lip shyly, shaking Charlie’s hand lightly, "They are filming, so don't be like this."

Charlie, however, seemed not to care. He extended his other hand and Tom, clueing in quickly, handed him a tissue.

Charlie stood, using the tissue to dab Nancy's forehead, "If I had known acting was so exhausting, I wouldn't have agreed to let you do it."

Nancy looked at Charlie, her eyes shining, her lips curling up into a sweet smile.

Her smile was so sweet.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk…"

Some staff members whispered amongst themselves, "Vivian’s blushing so much, if this isn't love, what is?"
