Substitute Bride and Her Husband Who Disappeared novel Chapter 95

Nancy had asked the professor for a leave of absence. It was longer than usual.

The professor disagreed at the beginning. But Nancy's outstanding grades and her constant compliance as a model student led the professor to believe that she must have important matters to deal with. Therefore, the professor finally agreed.

"Alright, I'll grant you a month off. But Nancy, you must work hard on your thesis. I have high expectations for you. Don't disappoint me," said Professor White.

"I know."

Nancy nodded. During her month off, apart from assisting Vivian with the filming and acting as her PA, she would also need to continue working on her thesis. She knew she would be swamped.

After settling her affairs with the school, Nancy was pondering on her journey home about how to tell Charlie about it.

She could still recall vividly how Charlie had come looking for her in his car the previous time she had left without saying goodbye.

No matter what, she had slept with him. After living with him for days, her feelings for Charlie was certainly different from before.

She felt that she should tell him.

At the least, she owed him a serious goodbye.

The day before her departure approached, Nancy made a large meal, waiting for Charlie to return home from work.

As the main gate of the villa opened, Charlie, tall and majestic, stepped in. Nancy saw him and immediately stood up to greet him.

"You're back. I've cooked a lot of dishes today, all your favorites."

As she said that, she stripped off Charlie's suit coat and hung it on a nearby rack. Then, she moved to the living room coffee table, poured a cup of coffee, and waited for him to come over.

Charlie took the cup of coffee and had a sip. It was also his favorite.

For a moment, he was under the illusion that he and Nancy were a long-married couple. Nancy was a housewife waiting for him at home while he was out busy working, earning money to provide for their livelihood.

Such a simple, peaceful life gave him an extraordinary sense of safety.

"Time for meal."

"Okay."
