Zander froze for two seconds before turning around and leading the person inside.

Sean picked up a newspaper, unfolded it slowly, and put it on the table.

A group of people followed Zander into the office.

There were close to thirty people.

However, Zander was confused at the moment.

It was because they were River City's government officials.

Hayden was among them.

Were these the people Sean had been waiting for?

However, why was Sean waiting for them?

Besides that, Zander could not figure out why these people were there.

Were they not attending the wine party with James?

"Mr. Lennon."

Hayden greeted Sean quietly.

The other middle-aged men and women greeted Sean too.

"Have a seat."

Sean calmly picked up a teacup and took a sip, still looking at the newspaper carefully.

Hayden and the others looked around and met each other's eyes awkwardly.

There were only two chairs in the office besides Sean's swivel chair.

Two chairs. Who was going to sit, and who was not going to sit?

It seemed Sean did not want them to sit down at all!

Being able to get to their current position, these people were no fools, so they were quick to react.

Sean must have been slightly dissatisfied with their previous performance, so he gave them the cold shoulder on purpose!

After all, they did make a deal with James to kick Sean out of River City.

"Can I help you?"

Sean did not even glance at the crowd, even though they were important and were big shots in River City.

One of the middle-aged women reported in a whisper.

After leaving Hill Hotel, they went their separate ways, with James watching.

However, they soon got together again to work out a plan.

They did not want to wait around even though James had something on them!

They could not keep their jobs when someone had dirt on them.
