"Sophie, what you want to do is out of my hands and control.
"But you can't involve Catie in doing improper things."
May gritted her teeth and said as she glared at Sophie.
"Aunt May, what are you saying? How is that improper?
"We only drink with the customers, and we get a commission for the drinks they consume.
"I got more than 3,000 dollars in commission last night."
Sophie curled her lips and frowned as she looked at May.
"More than 3,000 dollars?"
Caitlyn was stunned. She had no idea Sophie's job was making so much money.
"3,000 dollars is nothing.
"I'll help you make 30,000 dollars if you want."
Sophie grinned and said proudly.
Caitlyn's eyes widened. She was intrigued.
"Catie, I'll disown you if you go.
"And the orphanage won't accept any help from you!"
May turned her head sharply and glared at Caitlyn with the utmost seriousness.
The orphanage was short of money, but there was no way she would let Caitlyn ruin her life by working in places like a seedy bar.
Caitlyn was silent for a few seconds before nodding and rejecting Sophie.
She did not have much experience, but she knew what Sophie did for a living.
"Catie, think it through!
"An opportunity like this is rare. Are you sure you don't want to take it?
"You're not getting any younger. Think for yourself, not the orphanage.
"Do you want to stay in the orphanage all your life?
"Women should live a good life, you know?"
Sophie looked at Caitlyn as she persuaded her.
