"Change tactics. Use poisoned bolts!"
Jane shouted, taking out a blue bolt from the quiver and putting one over the crossbow.
Other mercenaries also took out their special blue poisoned bolts, loaded them to their crossbows, pulled the trigger, and fired at Sean.
Crossbows were already powerful and could easily pierce thin steel plates within 100 meters. It was why crossbows were lethal in the Middle Ages. Ordinary people who owned crossbows would be sentenced to severe punishment.
However, Jane and her mercenaries had taken their arrows to a new level by using poisoned bolts with their crossbows.
The special poisoned bolt would probably kill with a mere scratch, let alone hit a vital point.
Jane changed to poisoned bolts because she was determined to kill Sean to avenge herself, her father, and Billion Trees Group!
"Hurry and run!"
Sean realized something was wrong and quickly ordered Caitlyn and May.
Aware of the danger, Caitlyn grabbed May and ran outside.
"You must survive, Brother Sean!"
Caitlyn cried out in tears. She did not want Sean dying here trying to save May and herself.
If Sean died, she would never forgive herself!
The blue arrows let out an eerie blue twinkle in the sunlight.
The specially designed poisoned bolts would have no problem killing elephants weighing tens of tons or more!
However, not a single bolt could penetrate Sean's defenses.
Poisoned bolts flying in his face were either deflected aside with his dagger or cut in half and fell feebly to the ground.
