Summon of The Sword novel Chapter 1871

The chief of police was named Gabe Wholeton. He used to be Sean's subordinate and had followed Sean into war with Zander.

Gabe's time with Sean was shorter than Zander's, but not because he came later. Gabe had followed Sean earlier than Zander.

However, Gabe was severely wounded in a battle five years ago. After recovering from his injuries, he was ill-suited to fight in war.

Therefore, Gabe withdrew from the front line and returned to within the borders.

Later, Sean stopped contacting Gabe due to the tension of the war. Unexpectedly, he ended up working as the chief of police in Midwich.

When they saw Gabe from afar, Sean and Zander recognized him immediately.

"Just address me as mister. This isn't the army after all," Sean said to Gabe with a chuckle.

Gabe nodded and asked, "Mr. Lennon, what's going on? Why do you have a conflict with Jonathan, the heir of the Jensen family?"

Before Sean could explain, Zander said, "Need I say more? Jonathan insulted this old man and even got his bodyguard to beat him on the train. We couldn't stand by, so we stopped him. But not only is he unrepentant, but he also used the Jensen family name to threaten us. I'm unwilling to let that go, of course..."

After hearing Zander's explanation, Gabe glared coldly at Jonathan.

Then he said, "Mr. Lennon, Zander, don't worry. I will take this b*stard back and educate him. I promise I'll teach him a good lesson."

You could tell from the emphasis on the word "Good" in Gabe's sentence that it meant something else.

Jonathan and his bodyguard, Troy, both pinned to the ground by the policemen, instantly looked alarmed when they heard Gabe's words.
