Zander asked, "Commander, Aren't you mad at Derrick and Benji for abandoning the army?"

"Abandon?"

Sean could not help laughing.

He did not expect Zander to think Derrick and Benji had abandoned the army.

It seemed Zander was mad about Derrick and Benji's retirement and must despise them. Otherwise, he would not have said such a thing.

Sean laughed and said, "Derrick and Benji would have abandoned the army if they had suddenly deserted in the middle of a war. I will kill them without mercy according to military rules! But Derrick and Benji didn't desert in the middle of a war. Besides, they applied to discharge and retired as per the procedure. How is that abandoning?"

"But they couldn't stand the hardship after all. They retired because they're unwilling to continue bearing the responsibility of protecting the country."

Zander said, gritting his teeth.
