Caden was so mad that his beard trembled, and he said, "I'm still adding one million dollars. 81 million dollars!"
Fernando sneered and said, "Do you think I won't add more? I bid 85 million!"
"86 million!"
Fernando was not backing down.
The guests present were so shocked that their scalps tingled.
They were two of the top four families in Midwich.
The competition between the Sheldon family and the Jensen family was intense. No one was backing down!
East World Hotel's price was now close to 90 million, which was something the vast majority of guests did not have. They could only watch the bidding greedily.
The Yale family seemed uninterested and remained silent throughout.
"Mom, aren't we going to bid?" Sherman asked with a smile.
Sherleen shook her head and said, "We came to the auction today for Dr. Humphrey's 30 medical books. I'm not interested in anything else. Besides, the Yale family is not short of business. We're having problems keeping all our subsidiaries in control. So what if we won East World Hotel? It's just another business. It's no big deal."
"You're right."
Sherman nodded.
Sherleen's voice was not soft, and many of the guests present heard it.
"Since the Yale family isn't interested in East World Hotel. It seems East World Hotel will either end up with the Jensen family or the Sheldon family."
A middle-aged man with silver-rimmed glasses said.
However, no sooner had he finished speaking than a discordant voice echoed through the auction hall again.
"I'll offer 100 million for East World Hotel!"
