Sean said to Cheryl.
Cheryl nodded and tried to get up from the couch.
Just then, a woman suddenly pushed the door open and walked in.
"Boss, did Ms. Nelson come to you..."
The woman was Melissa, the lobby manager. She stopped before finishing speaking because she had already spotted Cheryl lying on the black couch.
Her pretty face instantly turned red, and she said in a panic, "I... I didn't see anything. I don't know anything..."
With that said, Melissa ran out hurriedly.
Sean could not help frowning, knowing that rumors about himself and the general manager, Cheryl, would start circulating the hotel.
"Sorry, Boss. I'll explain to Ms. Ralph."
Cheryl got up quickly and said awkwardly.
"Yeah."
What else could Sean say but reply quietly and let Cheryl leave?
In this case, saying too much could make things more awkward.
Sure enough, rumors about Sean and Cheryl started circulating in the hotel the next day. There was no doubt that the rumors were spread by the blabbermouth, Melissa.
However, Sean did not take it to heart. After all, these were no big deal.
Besides, he had far more trouble ahead of him.
After a full day of free treatment yesterday, Sean's fame had only grown. Many Midwich residents had come to see him for treatment.
