The clinic director asked grimly, "Aren't you afraid that it's just a show? How can the pustules on that scabby man be cured with a few needle pricks?"
Hearing this, a part of the crowd agreed.
"It's possible."
However, Sean had people defending him.
"So what? So what if it's just a show? Of all the people who've tried it before, did anyone complain? Even if they're all fake, won't I find out after experiencing them myself? Don't speculate until things have worked out."
The statement shut many people up.
The clinic director glanced at the person who spoke with annoyance.
The tide had turned against him. Whether Dr. Lennon cured the scabby man, he needed to find something he could use against him.
With that in mind, the clinic director asked Sean about it when he returned.
"Doctor."
"Yes?"
"Are you using old needles or new ones?"
"Old ones. Why?" Sean looked over to the clinic director.
"Wow." The clinic director deliberately raised his volume. "Really? Doctor, how dare you use old needles? You just used them on the beggar."
With that said, the clinic director looked around at the people.
"Everyone saw how smelly and dirty that beggar was. Who knows how many bacteria and viruses he had on him?"
"I've sterilized my needles," Sean said.
