Kendra was too scared to look at Sean. She lowered her head silently and tried to explain to Sean.
"No need to explain. I knew it was you. I knew it from the beginning."
Hearing this, Kendra was startled.
She stared at Sean, bewildered.
Sean explained to her immediately.
"Knowing your character, I don't think you would come to me and ask me to help you find a job. You were most likely instructed to do so.
"I didn't pay much attention to it at first, but you did too many things in the company and were sneaky. You're efficient, but you tend to be sloppy a lot of the time.
"I found quite a few spy microphones in the company."
Sean looked at Conan again as he spoke.
"So I just played along to see what you were up to."
Kendra could not help crying and falling to her knees with a thump.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Lennon. I really am.
"My mother has kidney problems. Firstly, I have no money for her treatment. And secondly, I can't find a suitable kidney donor.
"After you beat up Conan's son, Conan contacted me that night. He said they could find a suitable kidney for my mother, but the condition is that I spy for them.
"I don't want to do it, but I have no choice. I need to help my mother."
Sean shook his head as he listened.
"Kendra, I thought you were a good girl. I know all that. I didn't tell you, but I already asked someone to find your mom a suitable kidney. And you let me down."
"I'm sorry, Mr. Lennon. I'm so sorry." Kendra wept.
"Shut up. I don't want to hear your nonsense. I'll deal with you later."
