Jon and Quill raged silently, but they could do nothing but endure it.
The affluent folks of River City were just sitting there in amusement as they enjoyed the show.
Previously, Jon had made a show of claiming that Sean did not have the money and was just putting on an act of driving up prices.
In the end, Sean had made his payment easily.
When it came to the Zimmer family, however, they kept dawdling and were unable to make their payment. It was incredibly ironic.
Everyone had thoughts of their own within their hearts. As for the winner of today’s auction, the crowd had already passed their judgment.
Jon was enraged but he knew he could not start a fight with Zander right now.
The most important thing was to quickly settle the issue at hand.
"The total payment is 255 million. I can pay 200 million first. For the remaining 55 million, I will pay 60 million with interest after three days. Zimmer Corporations is right here, do you think I can run away?”
Jon spoke through gritted teeth, stating his bargaining chip.
After speaking to the upper management, the organizer’s staff had quickly gotten their approval.
They were still the Zimmer family, after all, the upper management still had to give them some leeway.
So, they had approved Jon’s request.
In the end, Jon had to pay 200 million on the spot and had even written down an IOU of 60 million dollars before he could get the approval documents for the two pieces of land.
“Let’s congratulate Zimmer Corporation once more!”
Once everything was settled, the lady in the dress raised her hands to clap as she spoke.
“Congratulations, President Zimmer!”
The audience applauded along with her.
Shh!
Sean got up slowly and gave Jon a long, meaningful look.
“I hope the Zimmer family can keep this land.”
With that, Sean turned and left. Zander followed closely behind him.
The Zimmer family tried all they could to get this land. Would it make them more powerful or would it be their downfall? That had yet to be seen.
“Hmph! Why don’t you worry about yourself instead?”
Quill retorted rudely.
Their rivalry was so strong that you could almost smell the enmity between them.
Gossip and guesses were murmured among the wealthy crowd. It seemed like the matter between them was not settled yet.
As for who would emerge victorious, it had yet to be seen.
…
The auction ended.
The crowd left, returning to their own companies.
However, everyone was talking about the auction today. It was the talk of the town.
