Chapter 29 It Was Not Her Home Anymore 

It was because of Jocelyn's good quality that Beatrice was determined to give her the family heirloom. She trusted her judgment that Jocelyn would be a good daughter-in-law, a good mother, and a good wife. She would not put her faith in the wrong people. 

Jocelyn knew well the meaning of the family heirloom, which was a recognition of identity and the inheritance of power. And it meant that Beatrice trusted and accepted her. 

But Jocelyn really couldn't accept it. She felt unworthy of it. After all, her marriage with Calvin was fake, and it was a union of interests. How could she accept the heirloom of the Austin family? 

Jocelyn looked at Calvin with pleading eyes, hoping that he could say a few words on her behalf and have his mother take it back. But Calvin just said, "Take it since she wants you to have this. Stop being that long-winded!"

"I don't believe it! Mommy, you obviously have a crush on Mr. Austin, right? Did you abandon Daddy because Mr. Austin was better looking than Daddy?" 

Jeffrey was just a little kid but was as imposing as adults. 

Being questioned by the little kid, Jocelyn finally had no choice but to say, "Okay, mommy will tell you the truth! Mommy is not attracted to Mr. Austin's handsome face. Am I not beautiful? Mommy just wants his money! He is so rich. Look at this diamond bracelet. The money from selling this will be enough to support you both for the rest of your lives!" 

"..." Jeffrey was even angrier and sighed, thinking that his mommy was money-obsessed! 

She even abandoned their own father! 

Poor daddy! 

"Is it really just for six months?" Jeffrey asked uneasily. 

"Of course. The agreement ends in six months, and mommy will take you and Tammy to your daddy. There's no downside for us anyway. We now live in a nice big house and have tasty food every day. You can see your daddy as often as you want. How about you think of it as a vacation?" 

Jocelyn continued to soften him up a bit. If Jeffrey was not cooperative and told Beatrice about it, she would not get 12 million dollars...
