"You!”
Shaun was infuriated. "I'm asking you again. Are you coming back or not?"
"I'm not!"
"Good! Remember what you said! Don’t say I didn't warn you when your grandmother comes after you later!" i
Shaun felt like he really could not communicate with his daughter’s cold and icy attitude and simply hung u

Nell scoffed and ignored him. She put the phone away and continued to eat the takeaway she just ordered.
On the other side, Sylvia was sitting in the dining room. She frowned upon seeing Shaun walk in exasperatedly.
"How is it? Have you informed her? Is she coming back tonight?"
Shaun snapped, "How would I win against her? Her wings have hardened and she’s so independent now. She won't come back without hiring a palanquin to pick her up."
Sylvia's expression darkened.
Her chopsticks slammed on the table with a slap.
"Insolent!"
Everyone in the dining room jumped. Ever since the death of Old Master Jennings, Sylvia had been in charge of the Jennings family. She had accumulated years of power, so her anger was still slightly intimidating.
Sally made a gesture to Celine with her eyes.
Celine quickly picked up the bowl of soup in front of her and walked over to the old lady before saying gently, "Grandmother, don't be angry. Your health is more important."
Sally also interjected. "Yes, if Nell doesn't want to come back, then don't worry about her. We'll think of another way. Anger is bad for your health."
Sylvia laughed coldly. "Ridiculous! She thinks she doesn't have to come back just because she doesn’t want to? I want her here today! I'd like to see just how hard her wings are!" 2
Then, she waved and beckoned the butler, Fabian Westwood.
"Fabian, go and find out where she is now. Send someone to tell her that if she doesn’t come back tonight, I'll burn all the things her mother left behind! She won't get a single penny!
Fabian paled and he quickly responded, "Yes."
In the afternoon, Nell finished her last order and got ready to close her shop.
Unexpectedly, she saw Fabian Westwood standing beside the door as soon as she walked out.
Fabian had been the butler in the Jennings family for over a decade, so Nell naturally recognized him.
Before Sally Youngs and Celine Jennings had been taken into the family, Nell had a good relationship with Fabian. Although they were not that close, they had mutual respect for each other.
Seeing him again, she suddenly recalled the call she had from Shaun that afternoon, and her expression grew cold.
"Eldest Miss, you’ve finished work."
Fabian approached her. Nell glanced at him while holding her keys.
"Fabian, it’s been a while."
"It has. Eldest Miss is growing more and more beautiful. If the late Madam were around, I'm sure she would have been very pleased to see you."
Nell's lips quirked upwards. "If my mom were still around, would you stand by her or by Sally Youngs?"
Fabian did not expect her to suddenly ask such a question and was at a loss for words.
Nell had no intention of making things difficult for him and only chuckled. "I'm just joking. Don't be
nervous."
Fabian almost dripped with cold sweat and forced a dry laugh.
"Do you need me for something?"
The butler hurriedly said, "The Old Madam has sent m e to take you home."
Nell's eyes grew cold. A sneer pulled at her lips." Didn't Shaun Jennings tell you that I don't want to go back?"
"He did, but the Old Madam said... She said that if you refuse to go back, all the relics your mother left behind will be disposed of."
Fabian spoke vaguely, but Nell instantly understood what he meant.
