The group quickly got the gist of Teddy's plan. "You're banking on everyone doubting Maja. Once suspicion kicks in, everything gets all muddled," someone pointed out.

Asher nodded in agreement. "If Maja’s looking for allies, she’ll have to prove her identity and the goods. It’s all about who’s bold enough to dive into this mess first."

Mars was impressed, “Andre, you’ve got a knack for cunning schemes and understanding people. No wonder Conner can’t outsmart you.”

Conner playfully smacked Mars on the back of his head, “I haven’t forgotten how you laughed at me earlier today.”

Later that evening, Andre was staying over at the Nettleton family home.

Mars winced as Conner gave him a kick, rubbing his sore behind while glaring at Conner, who was dabbing ointment on his own face. “Andre, you should’ve given him a few more punches. Make him unrecognizable even to his own brothers!”

Andre took a calm sip of his herbal tea, a subtle reminder and a warning, “Conner tried to stir trouble between me and my wife, and look where it got him. You all know my secrets better than anyone. Let Conner be a lesson; mind your words.”

Mars immediately clamped a hand over his mouth.

Just then, Mia’s video call came through, and Andre stepped aside to chat with his wife.

As soon as the call connected, the screen showed Henry, barefoot, stomping on his dad’s pillow, nibbling on his mom’s face, then turning to shout at his dad before planting a big kiss on his mom’s cheek, “Mwah!”

Andre, not too pleased, asked, “Why are you holding him?”

“I’m not used to sleeping alone since you’re not here. I just brought him to bed with me.”
