Leo had been hanging out in Willowtown for a few days. Even though he hadn't been flaunting his success, Anya’s excitement had mellowed a bit, and she started introducing her boyfriend to her school friends, always bragging about how awesome he was.
One day, while caught up in her bragging spree, Anya headed back to the hotel. It was clear she had something on her mind but was too shy to say it, awkwardly perching at the end of the bed.
Leo closed his book, turned to the unusually quiet Anya, and asked, “What’s going on?”
“Chad, there’s a school reunion, and I was telling my classmates how amazing you are with computers, and then, well, one of my classmates’ computer just, you know…”
“Broke, and now they want me to fix it, am I right?” Leo guessed.
Anya pouted, feeling guilty. “I’m sorry, Chad. I didn’t agree to it. I promise I’ll stop bragging.”
Anya adored Leo so much that she couldn’t help but gush about his skills to others. But when someone actually asked for his help, she turned them down, worried they'd think she was just making stuff up. Saying yes would mean burdening Chad with trivial tasks.
Leo chuckled, “No wonder my aunt said you’re still a bit childish.”
“Your aunt talked about me?” Anya looked up, surprised. “She wouldn’t say that! She really likes me.”
“My aunt, not yours, silly. She meant your mom.”
Anya: “…”
Leaning back, Leo flashed a mischievous grin. “I can fix it, it’s not like I can’t.”
