Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 217

Jade heard that Leo was always bullied at home, so she asked, "Isn't he the only heir of the Cedillo family, the grandson of the Cedillos?"

"Yeah, before I became part of the family, Leo was kind of a big deal at home. But since I joined the clan, I don't know if I messed things up for him, but his status has been dropping like a rock, even getting his butt kicked by Hansen pretty often." Mia said.

Jade analysed, "Before you joined the family, Andre was still a bachelor, and the Cedillos needed Leo to carry on the family name, so they took care of him. Once you joined the family and popped out a kid for the Cedillos in a few years, Leo won't be the only heir anymore, so they won't have to baby him."

Mia pondered, "You make a lot of sense. No wonder you're part of the family, you really get the inside scoop."

"Does that mean Leo should hurry up and get hitched, pop out a great-grandkid for the Cedillos, so he can secure his status?" Mia suddenly proposed.

Jade shook her head, "That'd be like signing his own death sentence. They've got a great-grandkid already, what do they need a grandson for?"

Mia was speechless. At this moment, she couldn't help but worry about Leo.

The next day, a strange scene played out in the family living room. At the dining table, only Mia, Jade, and Leo were eating normally. Hansen, Bruce, Naomi, even the housemaids, they were all staring at Jade.

Hansen had spent the whole night restless, checking every minute to see if his daughter's shoes were still at the door. Only then would he feel relieved. He was always worrying that he'd wake up and his daughter would be gone.

Naomi and Bruce stared at Jade, reminiscing about her when she was a kid.

Andre was only staring at his wife. "It's the 14th today." He reminded Mia, who was enjoying her meal.

Mia, halfway through her food, turned her head in confusion, "What's up?"

Andre didn't want to explain at the table, just moved the crab from her hand and gave her some warm vegetables to eat.

"Honey, are you torturing me?" She couldn't even eat properly?

Andre gently patted his wife's belly under the table, "Get it?"

Mia finally got it, her period was coming in a few days. "There's still four days to go." She complained.

Andre said, "You'll be in pain at night, and you'll have to swear again."

Mia pouted, watching the crab she'd been looking forward to eating slip away.

The Cedillo family's usual breakfast was pretty ordinary, changing every week. But today was extra hearty, the table was full of dishes. That was because Hansen was too excited. He had asked the kitchen to prepare all kinds of big dishes early in the morning, knowing they wouldn't finish it all, but he still wanted them to. All to welcome his daughter home.

Mia was able to enjoy a big crab early in the morning. She also was a bit grumpy because her diet was restricted. So, only Leo was eating happily.

After breakfast, it was time to go to school. Andre drove the three of them personally. Hansen wanted to go too, so he could spend more time with his daughter.

"The car is full." Mia said.

Hansen pointed at his grandson, telling him to drive himself, "Leo can drive himself. Make room for me."

Jade looked at her nephew who was used to being bullied. It didn't take her a day, just an hour, to feel Leo's status at home.

Leo patted the middle seat, "How can it be full? Just squeeze a bit."

So Hansen squeezed into the car. Mia originally wanted to leave the copilot seat for him, but Hansen didn't want to sit next to Andre. He wanted to chat with his daughter.

"Molly, we've actually met before. Remember the last time Mia got into a fight at school? She was fierce, not like a girl at all. I saw you then, you scratched a girl's face and kicked another girl's belly. You're really strong." Hansen said.
