Molly was sat in the living room, waiting for Mr. & Mrs. Byrne to give her an earful, then slap on some restrictions on her.
Leo, on the other hand, didn't go home. He was out having dinner with his father and Naomi. The trio were out enjoying a barbecue. Both he and his father were taking meticulous care of Naomi.
This made Naomi feel that all her past hardships were for the happiness she was experiencing now.
Leo told them that the Mastin family was planning on suing his parents, "....but Mia shredded the lawsuit, and Molly smashed everything valuable in the house. The six grand you gave last time, it's still at the police station. They probably don't have money for medical treatment, they might even call you."
Bruce told his wife, "Naomi, don't bother about the Mastin family anymore. If they say they'll picket me at the government building, let them. You don't need to be scared. I haven't done anything wrong. I'm not afraid of being investigated."
As Leo ate, he said, "Yeah, Mom, you don't know enough about Mia and Molly. They know your weakness, you care too much about me and Dad. As soon as they threaten Dad's position and my future, you'll give in.
“This weakness is now known by Ellory and Kyle, they'll keep threatening you, making you give them money. If you really let them protest at the city hall, you'll see if they dare to go.
“Even if they do go, we don't need to be scared. Every family has issues they can't resolve. Even if they sue us, they won't win. We're all on vacation now, we have nothing to do. Let them protest, and as long as we stay strong, we have nothing to fear."
The barbecue shop was filled with warmth, the glass was covered with condensation, the lobby was filled with people, and there were people paying at the counter. The three of them sat by the window, taking off their coats to eat.
Naomi looked at the father and son and said, "You three kids are talking about this too casually. They're not afraid of any consequences. If they really protest in front of the government building, it will affect you and your father."
Leo said, "It's fine. This father and son duo won't cause any real trouble. They can't stir up anything."
Bruce was curious about why his son thought so, "Why do you think that?"
"Because they have no money and are afraid to die. All their money has been wasted by them, who would want to stir up trouble with them?"
Bruce patted his son on the back, looking at his grown-up and very smart son.
In the end, only Leo returned home well-fed and without being scolded.
Mia had already been lectured, while Molly was being lectured.
One person escaped, whose dinner was brought to the bedroom by the butler. But this time, the person who brought Hansen his food was Andre.
Andre walked into his father's bedroom holding a plate with one hand. Hansen immediately sat up straight, "I want to see the butler. You go out."
Andre put the food on the table, sat across from his father and asked, "Are you feeling uneasy too?"
Hansen didn't look at him anymore.
Hansen sometimes asked himself why he was being suppressed by Andre to the point where he couldn't rise up and resolve the problem.
At the door, Mia silently walked to Hansen's bedroom door, she bent down and put her ear against the door, trying to listen to any sounds from inside, "Why can't I hear anything?"
Inside the room, Andre said to his father, "Mia's been arrested twice. If she gets arrested again, she can't be bailed out, you understand what I'm saying?"
Hansen innocently said, "My daughter emphasized to me last night that there would be no problem today, I didn't expect there to be a problem, right?"
Andre said, "The three kids deceived you together last night."
Hansen shouted, "So insolent!"
He realized too late that the game last night was a trap and he was the one who was deceived. He was very angry.
After all, as a father, Andre couldn't scold him directly like he would to his wife, so he left the room after delivering Hansen's meal.
As he opened the door, a petite woman suddenly threw herself into his arms. Andre casually caught his wife who had thrown herself at him, "Did you overhear anything?"
