Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 282

"You gotta find yourself a girlfriend, dude." Molly commented.

Chad replied, "Wait till I find a fiancée, then you can help me out."

"What if I run out of money?" Molly asked.

Chad responded, "I guess I won't bother with a girlfriend then."

Grandma Aubree was rooting for her grandson to tie the knot; she wanted grandkids. Chad not having a girlfriend was just not cutting it. "Chad, you should think about settling down."

Chad glanced at his sister, and told his grandma, "I'm gonna secure my job first, then think about marriage."

At noon, yesterday's guests came again, their business still unfinished. Just in time for lunch, The Byrne family's food was ready, and they arrived.

They had no choice but to sit together, everyone around the long table.

Vivian wanted to sit next to Chad, but Molly stood up, switched spots, and sat next to her brother. With nowhere to sit, Vivian stood there, feeling pretty awkward.

"I'm not hungry, you guys eat. I'll pass." She played the pity card in the dining room. Secretly, she hoped her stepmother would come to her defense.

Just as expected, her stepmother was furious. Hearing her stepdaughter was wronged, she pointed at Molly angrily, "Why did you steal Vivian's seat?"

Molly retorted, "Are you sure her name was on the seat?"

"Vivian was about to sit there." Juliana said.

"What a coincidence. I was about to sit here too." Molly said while leaning on Chad's arm looking like a couple, and even provocatively added, "I ain't leaving my brother. Wherever he goes, I go."

Chad bore no grudge against Molly; he was tolerant of her actions.

Mr. Kendrick suggested, "It's all about eating. Vivian can just sit opposite Molly."

Vivian didn't dare to play smart in front of Mr. Kendrick, so she had to go over and sit down. She watched the girl across the table, loved by her parents and brother, and quietly lowered her head, looking pitiful.

If outsiders saw this, they might think Molly was bullying her. Too bad, everyone sitting here was Molly's family.

Molly remembered her father's words from yesterday, not to quarrel. But, some people were asking for it.

"Molly, your watch is so pretty." Vivian started a conversation with Molly, "I want one too."

Molly glanced at her wrist and pulled her sleeve down to hide her watch from Juliana to avoid unnecessary quarrels, "If you want one, go buy it."

Juliana also noticed her watch, "It's so ugly."

Molly clenched her fist, "My brother gave it to me, no matter how ugly it is, I still like it."

Vivian chimed in, "Wow, Chad is so nice to you, that watch must be worth at least twenty grand, right?"

This price tag shocked Juliana, and she pointed at Molly's wrist, "This crappy watch is worth twenty grand?"

Vivian nodded, "I think Molly would never wear a fake, so it should be genuine, right? And the bracelet, that's real gold, right?"

Everyone's eyes focused on Molly's wrist. She stared back at the provoking Vivian, who knew her stepmother's true colors yet still stirred up trouble at the dining table.

Juliana was furious, and pointed at Molly, "You take off that watch. That's my brother's money. You have no right to wear it."
