Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 392

At that moment, Donnie, who was at work, sent Chad the video footage of the accident site. When he was opening the video on his phone, Molly was beside his bed sipping on a latte, watching along with him.

The instant the cars collided, Molly’s heart skipped a beat. Chad, however, zoomed in on the video, focusing on the eyes of the man wearing a mask.

The day before, he had specifically observed the man’s eyes, but in the video, this man had a large mole at the corner of his eye.

It was possible that he had intentionally applied it. If he plotted to kill him, he would naturally be fully prepared and would add other distinguishing features to confuse the viewer. After all, no one would expose their own characteristics when attempting murder.

Chad covered the man’s mole with his hand, studying his gaze.

Having watched it countless times, Chad’s mind was filled with comparisons of the two people. As a law enforcement officer, the worst fear was to have a suspect in mind but no evidence to back it up. If he constantly searched for evidence to prove that the suspect was the culprit, it might lead to misjudgment.

This time, even Chad felt that something was off. The pair of eyes he saw yesterday and those of the man in the video, they looked strikingly similar.

Regarding his health, Chad received a full-body examination to make sure he was fine. He planned to be discharged from the hospital by Monday.

Molly was packing up, preparing for the discharge.

Chad moved aside to make a phone call. He could stay in the hospital for a few more days, but he insisted on returning to work as soon as possible.

Jose said he was pushing himself too hard, but only as a police officer could Chad find the evidence to support his suspicions.

On Monday, Chad drove an old car from home to the station. The blemish on his record was cleared, so he was reinstated.

Brian was still in custody, leaving a heap of troublesome cases for Chad to handle.

Molly also returned to work. Gradually, she became integrated into the company and began to understand some of the company’s jargon.

After work, she went to her mother’s office. “Mom, I’m going to stay at the Cedillo’s for a couple of days. When my brother comes home tonight, make sure he gets some rest, okay?”

Coleen nodded in agreement.

Molly took a taxi back to the Cedillo’s. As she walked in, she ran into Mia, who was heavily pregnant.

“You’re back so soon. Did Chad get discharged?”

Molly replied, “He is too hardworking. He went straight to work after being discharged, so I came back. Mia, where’s dad?”

“I don’t know. You go find out.”

Molly couldn’t be bothered to search, so she let out a loud yell from the living room, “Dad!”

Hansen heard her and responded from the backyard, “I’m here, sweetheart.”

Soon after, Molly shrugged at her friend. “How convenient it is to find him. Just shout and you’ll know.”

Mia pointed at her friend. “I’m going to tell my husband that you scared me and my son with your yell.”

In a while, Hansen appeared in the living room. When he saw Molly, he smiled. “My girl is back.” He then ordered the butler, “Tell the servants to prepare more of Miss’s favorite dishes for tonight.”

It was time for Mia’s prenatal education. She had to brainwash her child and make her baby become a good baby. After a brief greeting, she left the living room and returned to her bedroom.

In the evening, Andre came home. Seeing his sister at home, he simply greeted her and asked about Chad’s health before heading upstairs to find his wife.

In the room, the music was on. He didn’t know how the child would react to it, but the child’s mother had already closed her eyes, dozing off. He turned off the music and laughed at his wife. Even prenatal education could put her to sleep.
