Andre gently cupped his little one’s tear-streaked cheeks with his rough hands. The tot was wailing pitifully, kicking his legs in a desperate attempt to push his father away.
As Andre let go, the little one’s head bobbed up on its own after a moment.
He lay there, crying his little heart out.
Mia was stunned. "Honey, how did he lift his head like that? I’ve been trying to teach him at home, but whenever it comes to lifting his head, he just lies there."
Andre replied coolly, "If you don’t coddle him, he’ll learn."
Mia wrapped herself tighter in her towel, squatting at the foot of the bed, watching their son cry and lift his head. "Looks like Mommy’s been too soft on you. Cry it out then, I’m going to get dressed."
Once Mia left, the little one continued to sob alone on the bed until Andre’s large hand gently stroked his back, calming him down.
After a bit more crawling, the tiny boy ended up back in his father’s arms, his body limp and relaxed. "Mia, don’t forget our son has his shots in a few days."
"Don’t worry, I won’t forget that," Mia said, emerging from the walk-in closet. She lifted their son and kissed his forehead. "He didn’t cry last time, but he’s definitely going to this time."
Setting the little one in the middle of the bed, Andre transferred him to the baby crib.
Mia scooped him up again, and Andre threatened, "Either he sleeps in his crib tonight, or I sleep out."
Mia was speechless...
So, she continued to hold their son in the middle of the bed. "Wherever the child sleeps, his mother sleeps. Your choice!"
Andre, faced with his wife’s defiance, ended up carrying their son to the door of Hansen’s bedroom.
Mia’s gaze followed her little boy until she reached Hansen’s door. She paused and gritted her teeth, calling out, "Andre!"
Andre handed the drowsy child to Hansen, who was sneaking time on his phone, saying, "Phones have radiation. Hold him and put him to sleep early."
Hansen looked at the bundle by his bed and asked his son, "Andre, are we too poor to hire a night nurse? Do I, in my advanced years, have to babysit your kid?"
Gazing at his sleeping son, Andre replied, "He’s here to make sure you sleep early."
Hansen was at a loss for words—a two-for-one deal!
Back in their bedroom, Andre locked the door and, facing his indignant wife, said, "If you’d listened to me and let Henry sleep in his crib, maybe I’d have shown more restraint tonight."
Now, with their son out of the room, he had no need to hold back.
Mia, filled with regret, conceded, "Fine, I agree. Bring our son back and put him in his crib."
Andre countered, "Would you choose a bite of steak or a whole night of feasting? If you were me, what would you pick?"
"I choose... to run." Mia dashed to the bedroom door, but before she could escape, Andre caught her around the waist.
The door locked again, and Andre lifted his wife’s nightgown and carried her to bed. "There’s no 'run' option, but you can beg for mercy."
Without a shred of pride, Mia, her hands pushing against Andre’s chest, quickly pleaded, "Alright, darling, I beg for mercy."
Andre added the rest of the sentence, "You can only beg for mercy... beneath me."
Without giving Mia a chance to resist, Andre pressed down, and Mia cursed inwardly.
Soon, the bedroom filled with Mia’s intermittent breaths, her face flushed as even she felt embarrassed by the sounds. Andre, as if releasing pent-up desires, vented all his recent restraint upon Mia.
Mia felt as if her wrists were not her own. "Honey, stop, don’t pinch my wrists," she gasped out to Andre.
