Andre casually remarked, "It's not yet Leo's time."
By the time Jade got home, night had already fallen.
She woke up feeling refreshed and immediately noticed the man lying next to her. It took a moment for Molly to remember: Oh, right, she was married now. But... this wasn't the honeymoon suite.
A couple of seconds later, it dawned on her: Oh, she had wandered into the wrong room.
Sitting up, she accidentally pulled the blanket off Chad. Her hair was stiff with gel, and her makeup was smeared and uncomfortable. She decided she needed a shower and tiptoed out of the bedroom, trying not to wake Chad. Taking advantage of his deep sleep, she headed to the actual bridal suite.
When she walked in, Molly was captivated by the sight of balloons. A large red heart made of balloons was positioned by the window, even prettier than the one Anya had made for her. She admired it briefly before heading into the shower.
Three minutes later, Chad returned to the bridal suite and heard the shower running. He smirked, loosening his tie and heading to the walk-in closet. Not long after, the water stopped, and Molly came out wrapped in a towel, only to find a man's tie on the bed.
Then, Chad emerged from the closet. Their eyes met, and Molly was taken aback, her skin still glistening with water droplets.
Chad's gaze slowly moved from her face down to her shoulder, his shirt collar slightly open as he moved toward her.
Molly backed away, "What are you doing? When did you wake up? Why didn't you say something when you came in?"
Chad cornered her at the vanity, his eyes on her as she nervously swallowed. He chuckled, "You weren't this shy in a towel before."
Molly retorted, "Before, you were the perfect gentleman and looked away when you saw me in a towel."
"It's different now." Chad reached out and removed the shower cap from her head. "Come to the bathroom, let me dry your hair for you."
"No need, I can do it myself."
Molly rushed into the spacious bathroom, with Chad leaning against the sliding door, watching her. She turned on the hairdryer and raised her hand to start drying her hair, but the towel under her arm felt loose. Molly quickly lowered her arms, securing the towel. Without giving her a chance to react, Chad entered, took the hairdryer, and began drying her hair for her.
Molly suddenly remembered she had meant to change into her pajamas! Watching their reflections in the mirror, she felt as if she was living a dream. The past two years had changed so fast, not the world around them, but the relationship between her and Chad.
They had a late lunch, which pretty much doubled as dinner, so they skipped the evening meal. After drying her hair, Chad pressed his hands against the vanity from behind her. From behind, it looked like Chad was enveloping Molly in an embrace.
Feeling the warmth of the man behind her and his shirt against her skin, Chad looked into the mirror, his voice low and husky, "Molly, are you still tired tonight?"
For some reason, probably because she had read too many novels, Molly felt there was an underlying meaning to his question. She nodded, "I'm tired, very tired right now."
Chad looked down, his gaze drifting to the smooth lines of her shoulder, now dry. He leaned down, as if to kiss her neck, "You've already slept for three hours."
Molly, seeing their reflection, grew nervous and pushed Chad's hand away, quickly running out to fetch her pajamas from the walk-in closet. She gathered up the "blessing for a child" and set it aside, then crawled under the covers.
