Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 67

He took a deep breath, "Get lost."

Leo took off immediately.

Once he stepped out of the study, he could feel the warmth of the outdoors.

"God, Andre is terrifying."

Just then, Mia cracked open her bedroom door. She poked her head out cautiously and whispered to the frightened Leo, "Hey, over here~"

Leo heard the noise and looked over.

He immediately headed towards Mia, "You really crossed the line this time. Why didn't you discuss it with me before telling him?"

Mia pulled him inside her room and quietly shut the door.

"He put me on the spot this morning. There was no time for me to discuss with you. Leo, what were you guys just talking about?"

Leo: "We were having a standoff."

Suddenly the bedroom door was flung open. Andre saw the two of them alone in her room, holding hands. His fists clenched tight.

Leo saw the situation was bad, and ran away before he could finish his sentence. Given the current relationship, Leo was Mia's "ex-boyfriend," while Mia was now Andre's wife.

Didn't that make him Andre’s love rival? To make matters worse, the person he feared the most was Andre.

He blamed Mia for being unreliable more than once.

Knowing that he was afraid of Andre, she still used his name. She could have made up any random name.

Andre's face darkened, and the slamming of the door made Mia shudder.

It was so weird. Everything was fine when he left in the morning. How did Andre become so moody after a trip to Mia's house?

"Mia, why did you agree to marry me in the first place?"

This was the second time they had discussed this topic since their marriage.

The first time ended in discord. This time, Andre needed a clear answer.

Otherwise, every time he hugged or kissed her, he would be filled with guilt knowing that she was Leo's ex-girlfriend.

Mia thought of her agreement with Hansen, she shook her head stubbornly, refusing to speak.

Andre: "If he promised you something, I can do it, even better. Marriage concerns our entire lives. I hope you can tell me everything you know."

Mia bit her tongue, "I can't go back on my word. I promised my dad I wouldn't tell you, I can't betray him."

Andre: "You should have heard the saying, 'He who understands the times is a wise man.' Considering the current situation of the Cedillo family, you'd benefit more from listening to me."

Facing her suddenly serious husband, Mia felt Andre's changes these past few days were like a roller coaster, making it impossible for her to grasp.

Andre asked again, "What did he threaten you with?"

"Do you know?" Mia was shocked.

Andre guessed, "Your family's company?"

Now that Andre figured it out himself, it wasn't her who spilled the beans.

Mia no longer felt guilty. She nodded, "Your father came to my house, insisting that I marry you. If I didn't agree, my family would end up like the once glorious Mastin family. I had no choice. My brother is studying abroad, and the Cedillo Group is the result of my parents' twenty-plus years of hard work, so I agreed."

The truth was as Andre had guessed. He didn't say anything more, but turned around and left the Cedillo family.

He was furious at the Cedillo family's high-handed behavior.

He married Leo's girlfriend, yet developed feelings for her, even wanting to live with her.

Reality was indeed ironic.

He was not serious about the marriage, and he didn't dislike Mia. Her looks were to his taste. Since that was the case, why not try living with her?

If he had known three days earlier that Leo and his wife had been lovers, he wouldn't be in such a quandary.

But now, he couldn't simply hand Mia over to Leo.
