Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 697

In no time, Mia, cradling her baby, joined the others to see what was going on. It was only when Naomi called out that everyone made their way to the dining room.

Mia and Molly had skipped lunch, so at dinner, while everyone else chatted, the sisters dug into their meals like they hadn’t eaten in days. Anya was there, too, half-annoyed at Chad for being so clueless and channeling her irritation into a voracious appetite. Besides, she always had a healthy appetite.

Hansen loved seeing his three girls enjoy their food with such gusto. To him, a hearty eater was someone who truly enjoyed life. He had no patience for people who picked at their food with little interest. To him, they lacked zest for life and were missing out on one of its great pleasures.

Every now and then, Andre made sure to serve his wife some delicacies, their son Henry watching every move, his eyes following the food from plate to mouth, until a drool of anticipation escaped him. Seeing his dad serve up the food, Henry reached out his chubby little hands, ready to dive in.

Andre instructed the maid, “Bring Henry his bottle.”

When the maid returned with the freshly made formula, Henry, in a fit of stubbornness, tossed it aside, fixated instead on his dad's plate. Andre laid down the law to his son, “You get to join us at the table when you can sit up by yourself.” At this, the little guy burst into tears.

Mia glanced at her son's tears, then went back to her meal.

Later that night, Chad was all set to take Henry to bed with him, but Molly immediately put a stop to it. “He’ll be up till 3 a.m. Can you handle that?” Even if he could, Molly firmly guided Chad back to their bedroom.

Mia looked at her son, tongue in cheek, “You’re a handful, aren’t you? But cute all the same.”

Leo spent his evening with a group of IT guys, discussing how to be more tender toward their partners. Their unanimous conclusion? “Just agree to everything your girlfriend says.” That was their definition of tenderness.

Convinced they’d cracked the code, Leo put it into practice. For days, he agreed to everything Anya wanted, prompting her to ask, “Chad, what’s gotten into you?”

That night, as Molly was drying her hair in her pajamas, Chad's phone rang. Molly immediately turned off the hairdryer and interrogated, “Who’s calling this late?” Her fierce tone was reminiscent of the Cedillo family's strong-willed nature.

Chad, trying to ease her mind about a late-night call from a guy, turned on the speakerphone, “Hey, what’s up?”

Donnie, at the police station after having instant noodles, asked, “Hey, why aren’t you at work? I brought extra ham today. If you don’t show, I’m eating both.”
