In another bedroom.
After Mia returned, she went straight to her husband's arms to cuddle Henry.
Henry, wanting to be a good boy, turned towards Mia. This time, Andre spread himself out, blocking his wife from hugging their son.
Mia, feeling annoyed, grabbed her husband's shoulders and tried to take Henry, "I let you hold him earlier, and you didn’t. Now you won’t let me? Give me the child!"
Henry clung onto his mom's sleeves, refusing to let go as if his dad was the big villain preventing him from getting to his mom's comforting embrace.
Finally, Henry managed to snuggle into his mom's tender arms, his little mouth wide open, immediately planting wet kisses on Mia's cheek.
Mia, holding her little bundle of joy, endured her son's slobber with a loving smile.
The room fell into a hush, neither Andre nor Mia spoke, just taking turns holding their son. The bedroom was filled with Henry's fearless babbling, lying on his mom's face without a care. His little hands poked at his mom's chunky knit sweater, making a hole in it, and then curiously started playing with the fabric.
After a few minutes of silence, Andre broke the ice, "Is there anything else you're hiding from me about Leo?"
"That's everything Molly told you." Mia glanced at her husband and asked, "Andre, have you cooled down?"
"What did you call me?" Andre's sharp gaze met his wife's.
Mia nodded, "Hmm, seems like you’ve calmed down." At least he was paying attention to how she referred to him.
Apart from when they were newly married and still getting to know each other, she had called him by his name, but later it was always "honey," and in front of others, she often used "my husband" or "our Andre."
"Honey, I wasn’t completely honest with you about Leo's situation at the beginning, and I truly feel sorry about that. But at the time, I really couldn’t tell you." Mia was unsure if her decision back then was right or wrong and felt a bit wronged, "Leo wasn’t sure himself, and if I told you, then I would be too much of a blabbermouth, unable to keep a friend’s secret. But if I had told you, I don’t know if today’s events would have happened. I think that's a problem I have."
Mia began with some self-reflection.
"Honey, do you think I’m right?"
Without realizing it, she had moved next to Andre while holding their child.
Andre turned his face, only to see the matching chubby cheeks of his wife and son, though their son had a bit more baby fat, "So, are you going to analyze my problems next?"
Mia nodded, "Well, everyone has flaws and issues, it's important to reflect."
