Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 850

At the entrance, the guy was already walking alongside the officer, pointing towards the car while chatting animatedly.

Molly glanced at her snoozing nephew. “Hey Mia, where’s the sun hat for my little treasure?”

Mia rummaged through her son’s bag and handed over a cute little yellow duck sun hat. “Careful, it might not fit over your big head... Oh well, my son’s got a big head too.”

The hat fit Molly perfectly.

Mia, carrying her son who had finally dozed off, got out of the car. As they stepped out, they slowly approached a familiar face.

“Molly, Mrs. Cedillo?!”

Molly removed her hat, cleared her throat with a couple of awkward coughs.

“Hey, Sister Ivy, fancy seeing you again.”

It was a tad embarrassing for Mia to be recognized too.

Once inside the police station, everything became clear.

Easton got a call while on the road, “Easton, Officer Chad’s little troublemaker has arrived.”

Easton replied, “Tell her to find her man next door, what’s she doing at our station?”

“This time, she’s not here for Officer Chad. You better come back, the Andre family’s two little treasures are here too!”

Easton stammered, “Wha-what happened?”

Annie, surprised, wondered what could make the captain stutter.

“Alright, I got it.”

After hanging up, Easton turned to Annie, “You jinxed it.”

Annie blinked innocently, “What happened?”

Easton smirked, “Your wish is coming true.”

Annie froze, “They went to the police station?”

“Not just them.”

“Who else?”

“They brought a kid along.”

Upon arriving, the sound of an indignant man shouting and Henry's crying could be heard from the entrance.

“You’re all in this together. That was a normal lane change. I’ve been driving for over a decade, and a rear-end collision is the rear car’s fault. I changed lanes on the highway, and everyone says it’s the rear car’s fault. Why are you protecting her by saying it’s mine? It’s always the rear-end car at fault. You’re just siding with her on purpose.”

Henry, already a restless sleeper, was instantly woken by his shouting and started crying non-stop.

A familiar face, Ivy, tried to distract Henry with something from her hand.

Someone else pulled out their phone, “Henry, look at aunty’s phone, see who’s the little baby crying in the camera.”

“Henry, see this pen? Uncle’s gonna show you how to write with it. No more tears, come to uncle.”

Some tried to calm Henry, others tried to pick him up, but he only wanted his mom.

Mia held onto him as an officer stepped in, “Alright, with the traffic cops here, it’s clear from the dash cam. You changed lanes without signaling, and the car behind didn’t slow down because of your sudden overtake and slowdown, which is against the rules. Plus, you overtook from the right, completely violating traffic regulations.”

“You’re all in cahoots, I want a different officer, where’s your supervisor? I need to see your leader.”

Ivy calmly stated, “Our leader will be back soon, but the dash cam footage clearly shows it was your fault. The car behind was driving normally.”

Molly sat there, unfazed. She knew she was in the right.

Soon, the man was ranting about filing a complaint, “Where do I go to complain? I’m going to do it right now.”

Molly just rolled her eyes.

Easton and Annie, after listening to the racket for a while, finally stepped in.

Annie, seeing the man making the little one cry with his loud voice, scolded, “What’s all the yelling for! If you want to argue, take it outside. If you don’t believe us, go complain by finding the number online!”
