Anya shook her head.
"Leo's off getting the car washed."
Anya looked puzzled.
Leo explained, "Can't take you without a clean ride, can I?"
A knowing smile spread across Anya's face. "Chad, I knew you'd come through for me."
Leo mused to himself, "If I don't take you to school, come afternoon, rumors will be flying about us breaking up."
"Well, wouldn't that mean I'd have a line of admirers?" Anya joked, picturing a queue stretching to the school gate, unaware of the storm brewing in her boyfriend's eyes as he stood silently beside her.
Leo draped an arm over Anya's shoulders, and as the elevator arrived, he playfully guided her out by the neck. "Chad, you're about to snap my head off!"
Once inside, Leo blocked Anya's way, gently steering her toward the bedroom.
He closed the door behind them and locked it.
Anya was confused by this and was about to ask when she found herself pinned against the wall. "Mmm."
Leo, holding his soft girlfriend, nibbled at her lip, intending to give her a playful reprimand.
But as his teeth lingered on Anya’s lip, he found it hard to be rough.
"Leo, mmm..."
Before Anya could voice her question, Leo's tongue claimed her mouth, leaving her nowhere to hide in her own territory.
Holding her tighter, Leo realized he wasn't as innocent as he thought; being with his girlfriend, he couldn't resist teasing her.
Their moment was interrupted by the ringing of a phone.
Anya, still pressed against the door, was catching her breath. Leo, with clenched teeth, pulled out his phone and saw the caller was Vincent.
Anya glanced down, saw the name, and watched as Leo hung up, gradually calming down and letting go of his bewildered girlfriend.
Leo tossed the keys on the table, turned around, and grabbed a glass to pour Anya some water.
He added a couple of chamomile tea bags to his own glass to cool his nerves.
Anya remained obediently by the door, not moving an inch.
After pouring the water, Leo added two spoonfuls of honey to her glass, asking casually, "So, thinking about admirers, huh?"
Anya immediately understood Chad’s earlier possessive behavior.
She shook her head, "No, just joking around."
Leo pointed to the bed, "Take a seat."
Anya complied, sitting where Leo pointed. He settled on a stool in front of her, handed her the honey water, and began, "Anya, your thoughts haven't been the purest lately, you know?
Kissing other guys behind my back is one thing, but dreaming about a line of admirers?"
Anya was taken aback, "Chad, what are you talking about? Who did I kiss? Don't accuse me."
"Henry, is he a guy or not? Didn't I tell you not to kiss him, yet you did?" Leo snapped.
Anya's cheeks flushed with anger. "Chad, you're being ridiculous."
