Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 923

Andre pinched the bridge of his nose, "So, did Annie give you any attention?"

"Yeah, she was just at my hotel," Conner replied, rubbing his cheek where a slap mark was still visible.

Andre went straight to the heart of the matter, "Where'd she clock you?"

Conner grimaced, "…Why you gotta jinx me like that?"

Andre shrugged, "Jinx or not, you know what’s up. Conner, this act of yours? It's a dead-end when it comes to winning her over."

Conner leaned back on the couch, staring at the ceiling with a brooding look. "I was only mildly interested at first, but now I’m all in."

Andre offered some sage advice, "With a fiery gal like her, you gotta be straight up, clear misunderstandings right away, lay your feelings bare, surprise her for real. Don’t beat around the bush or try to strong-arm her. Go with her fiery flow, admit you're wrong even when you aren't, and be her number one fan. Maybe, just maybe, you'll stand a chance."

Conner raised an eyebrow, "And how do you know all this?"

Andre’s gaze drifted to a family photo on the desk, featuring his playful, charming wife. "Been there, done that, my friend."

After hanging up, Conner mulled over his buddy's advice in his hotel room.

Meanwhile, Andre headed out to find his lovely wife.

She was in the living room, narrating a story she’d heard that day to her family, who were all ears, watching Mia as her laughter filled the room.

Henry watched everyone laughing like they’d lost it, not getting the joke but feeling odd not to join in.

Molly quipped, "Guess even Cupid gets it right sometimes."

Anya, the most attentive listener, asked, "So, Auntie, what happened next?"

"They're in custody for now. I doubt they'll mess with the teacher again," Mia replied.

Anya pressed on, "What if they come back for revenge on your teacher?"

Molly chimed in, "Then we take it lying down and make them pay for the hospital bills."

Mia nodded, "If they don’t, we'll take it to court. They'd be fools to mess with a lawyer."

Anya nodded thoughtfully.

As the night deepened, Andre called from upstairs, "Mia, Henry, time for bed."

Henry, with his chubby little face, looked up at his dad on the stairs, wishing for angel wings. The next moment, he'd been lifted as if by invisible wings and found himself snug in his mom’s arms.

Henry chuckled happily, and as the family headed to rest, everyone said goodnight to Henry. "Goodnight, little night owl."

A few beams and bricks build walls;

To shield from wind, to shelter from rain, to gather warmth;

And thus, a home takes shape.

With family gathered, nights are for sharing fun tales, opening up, and chatting about the day.

Andre, upstairs, welcomed his dear wife and child back to their bedroom.

Mia carried Henry to the bathroom, using his special towel to wash his face. His chubby cheeks, always puckering up for kisses, needed a good wash before bed.

Just as Mia carried him out, Andre sneaked in a kiss on his son's cheek.

With a warm smile, she tossed the towel to her husband, "Your turn to wash his face!"

Henry, rarely getting to sleep with his parents and usually booted out by his business-savvy dad, was finally allowed to stay.

Thanks to his dad, Henry had learned to sleep anywhere, soothing himself to sleep ahead of his peers.

Andre scooped his son back to the bathroom for another face wash.

By 8:30 PM,

The bedroom was alive with laughter.
