"Who are you looking for?" Conner asked, gripping Annie's hand tightly, staking his claim as he faced off with Chad.
Chad gave him a quick glance and said, "Not you."
Annie glanced at the childish duo and kept her hand in Conner's.
Chad found the medical examiner and, with a worried look, asked, "Is there anything to help with morning sickness for pregnant women? Molly refuses medication and hasn't been eating." His attempts to comfort her had been in vain.
The examiner was taken aback, "Molly's pregnant?"
Easton jumped in, "Wait, she's pregnant?"
Everyone around was surprised, "What? Who's pregnant?"
Annie was thrilled, "Molly's expecting?"
Soon enough, word spread that their youngest, whom they all cherished like a little sister, was going to be a mom.
Even though they hadn't known Molly for long, she felt like family, like a younger sister they'd watched grow up.
Conner found out too and turned to Annie, "Did you hear? Your little sister's going to be a mom. When are we going to talk about our future?"
Annie replied, "You do your thing, I'll do mine. Let's not meddle in each other's lives, okay?"
"That's not okay. Annie, if you don't come back with me to get married, I'll bankrupt Chapman Inc."
"Let it go bankrupt then. It'll save me the hassle of convincing my parents to retire."
Conner was left speechless. She was definitely not playing by the usual rules.
Everyone faces their fair share of life's hassles.
Like when the person you have a crush on doesn’t feel the same;
Or watching your beloved wife suffer through morning sickness and feeling helpless;
Or worse, when someone's kid is so adorable they get snatched without anyone noticing.
Andre was in a foul mood, almost boiling over. He stared at the phone number, aware that one call could turn Havenbrook upside down.
Just as he was about to dial, Mia posted in the family group chat, "Who took my son?"
At the BBQ joint, Leo saw the message and quickly asked his girlfriend, "Babe, did you tell your family you took the little guy out?"
Anya was about to grab some food, but stopped in her tracks, looking panicked, "Oh no. Chad, I— I was so into watching the bears today, I totally forgot."
They had a packed schedule: a test in the morning, a nap at noon, waking up to have the little one showcase his “walking” skills with Chad, shopping for bear-themed stuff in the afternoon, and finishing the day with BBQ. Anya was having so much fun, she forgot the most important thing.
A minute later, Leo posted a picture in the family group chat of the messy little one trying to snag his brother's chopsticks.
The Cedillo family let out a collective sigh of relief, thankful that nothing was lost.
Havenbrook avoided a major upheaval.
Andre's heart settled, and everyone breathed easier. Upon realizing their son was missing, Mia had been on edge, unable to show weakness, and immediately began investigating.
Hansen wiped the sweat from his brow, "That Anya, always picking up bad habits from her aunt."
