Harvey's question made Eloise cringe. In fact, she and Max hadn't gotten close at all! The most they'd done was a light peck, that was all!
Eloise went silent for a while.
Harvey didn’t press on; he just finished a cigarette slowly as the convoy started to move. He parked the car to the side. Before Eloise could ask, he unbuckled her seatbelt. Then, he lifted her onto his lap.
He took off her coat, she was wearing barely anything underneath, and her clothes were a bit damp, quickly staining his steel-gray trousers. Just looking at it was kind of a turn-on.
Outside, the storm was raging. In front of the car window, the wipers were swinging rhythmically. The scene inside the car was sometimes clear, sometimes blurry.
Eloise was forced to lie on top of Harvey, kissing him. Harvey was skilled, quickly making Eloise give in. She was dazed and fell into his arms, letting him have his way.
Occasionally, she'd open her eyes and see her reflection in the car window, and she'd feel shocked. Was this indulgent woman really her?
Just as things were heating up, Harvey, being a man of his status, wouldn't finish things in the car. He leaned close to her ear, his voice husky. "There's a fancy guesthouse nearby, wanna spend the night there?"
Eloise came to her senses a bit. Even though she was a bit dizzy from the kisses, she knew Harvey was just looking for a one-night stand. She hugged his neck and whispered for mercy, "Mr. Horigan, wait..."
Harvey lost interest. He lit another cigarette and took a deep puff before saying, "If you can't handle it, don't play. It's really boring."
Eloise braced herself and kissed him again. Harvey didn't respond, his deep gaze fixed on her. Eloise blushed, she'd never done anything like this, but this frivolous teasing had no effect on Harvey.
