There was no one talking in the car. Cindy held the roses and looked sideways out of the window. She was very absorbed. No one knew what she was thinking.
Stephen turned his head and looked at his sister. He felt very uncomfortable and wanted to go back and have a fight with Harley.
Stephen was nearly ten years older than Cindy. When Cindy was born, he was already in elementary school. When his mother was pregnant, Stephen knew he would have a younger brother or sister. Seeing Jake's younger brother being naughty every day, he didn't want one.
So at that time, Stephen prayed secretly every day, hoping that his mother was pregnant with a baby girl.
One day, when he came home from school, his father told him that his mother had given birth to a younger sister.
Stephen jumped up with joy and fell, but he didn't feel any pain. His father took him to the hospital to see his newborn sister.
Through the glass window, he saw his baby sister sleeping with eyes closed in the swaddling clothes in the crib. She was white and tender, totally different from Jake's younger brother when he was just born.
Among the little friends around Stephen, he was the only one who had a younger sister.
The first thing he did every day when he got home from school was to talk to his baby sister Cindy.
Later, as Cindy grew older and could walk and run, he took Cindy to Jake's house on weekends.
Jake's younger brother was very annoying at the time. While Cindy was very well-behaved, chubby, cute, and lovely. Jake was jealous every time he saw her.
Little Cindy also liked to follow his brother Stephen. She was almost Stephen’s persistent follower. On Cindy's first day in kindergarten, Stephen was afraid that she would not adapt to it, so he asked his elementary school teacher for a day off and secretly waited at the gate of the kindergarten.
