Temptation From Her Ex-husband novel Chapter 121

"Hey..."

Alexander tried to warn Libby, but she ran away before he could finish his words.

Glancing at her as she ran away, he hesitated and finally took out his cell phone to call Raymond.

I have no choice. He's my good friend.'

However, his good friend didn't accept his kindness and declined his call again and again.

Alexander thought Raymond wouldn't answer his phone, so he sent a WhatsApp message and headed out to the dinner table.

People at the table were calm. Alexander had expected nothing to happen tonight, but he never thought he would be the trigger for a war.

It happened when Alexander was just sitting down, and Breanna introduced him to Scarlett, "Scarlett, this is Alexander, my nephew."

As Breanna finished talking, Libby, sitting next to her, said, "Mom, why do you say that? Can she not have known Alexander's relationship to Raymond?"

Libby said that in a weird way. Scarlett sat there, and her face was unchanged, "Miss Jones is right. I have

known Alexander a long time ago."

Breanna gave Libby a warning look, but Libby didn't want to stop, "Mom, why are you looking at me like that? I didn't say anything wrong. Besides, everyone knows about Ms. Reed's divorce from Raymond."

Breanna was keen on face-saving. Antony was her godson, and whether she liked Scarlett or not was another thing. But when Antony brought Scarlett over for dinner and Libby embarrassed Scarlett, Breanna naturally didn't condone Libby. Breanna said to Libby, "Do you want to eat or not? If you don't want to eat, go back to your room. You are talkative, so why didn't you get a job offer in the last interview?"

Libby chickened out and stopped talking.

Antony felt the atmosphere at the table soured, too. He asked Scarlett in a low voice, "Do you want me to take you away?"

Scarlett turned her head, looked at him, and said with a smile, "No, thanks. It's nothing."

It was nothing compared to what had happened to her before.

Even if Libby was about to yell at her today, she had plenty of ways to get off her back.

She glanced at Breanna after finishing talking, "Miss Jones is right. Everyone knows about my divorce from Raymond. But I don't think the Vang family has any rules against Antony marrying a divorced woman, right?"

That was right. It was no use that Libby gave her a hard time and Breanna looked down upon her.
