When Scarlett woke up the next day, it was already bright in the morning. The light was filtering through the curtains that were not completely closed.
She was left alone in the room. Raymond was not here.
Raymond had gone to the company.
Scarlett fumbled for her phone and saw Raymond's text message sent five minutes ago. He asked her if she was awake.
Scarlett texted back and got up to wash up.
Just as Scarlett moisturized her face, a hotel waitress brought over her breakfast.
Raymond came back just after 4 pm. There was an icy aura about him, and he still looked angry.
Scarlett reached out to Raymond, and he picked her up. His expression softened as he stared at her. He lowered his head and kissed her on the lips. "Honey, do you want to go somewhere?"
Scarlett raised her eyebrows and thought for a moment. "Forget it. It's so cold, and it's not very convenient to go out."
It had been snowing for the past two days. Scarlett looked at the snow falling outside and did not want to go out.
It was so cold that she had to wear a lot of clothes if she went out.
Raymond nodded, "Okay, then we'll go home tomorrow."
Scarlett gave him a look and asked," Tomorrow? Has the problem been resolved already?"
"Yes."
Raymond had never been a patient man. Mendes was so bold, and Raymond did not bother to waste time on him. After the meeting today, the police came directly to the company to take Mendes away.
Mendes was in a daze when the police came. He probably did not expect why he was suddenly arrested by the police. He thought he just had not arranged for the dinner last night appropriately.
When the police arrested him, he even looked at Raymond and shouted, saying it was a misunderstanding. Raymond raised his hand and threw the file of Frank's investigation at Mendes's face. Mendes saw the file and turned pale.
The other people in the company still didn’t know what was going on when Raymond directly promoted the person who was transferred over not long ago to take over Mendes' position.
Raymond settled the whole Mendes thing within just two hours.
