After being lifted up by Alison and getting frightened, Oliva dared not give Alison any trouble for a long time.
Yet today, it seemed that the unpleasant reunion was unavoidable. Oliva could spot Alison in the line from afar.
And there was another thing. Alison looked a totally different person today, without the thick bangs on her forehead and her old-fashioned school uniform. Besides, she wasn't carrying that torn school bag anymore.
Instead, she was wearing a pretty white dress, which went well with her fine white backpack. Her hair was tied neatly up into a bun and was decorated with a beige hairpin taking the shape of a sunflower. This way, Alison became quite noticeable in the long line, and Oliva just could not miss her, though she was over five meters away across the road.
It was fair to say that Alison could catch almost everyone's attention by just standing there, showing her beautiful face and fair skin.
That incident happened over a month ago, and Oliva had forgot about her fear. Now, seeing the gorgeous Alison, Oliva was filled with only jealousy and unreasonable anger.
She couldn’t explain it, but she just could not bear to see Alison become better off.
"Stricken dumb or what? Don’t be such a coward."
Oliva questioned and gave Alison a shove.
Losing her balance, Alison fell out of the line.
A girl behind her kindly supported her and helped her up. "I don't know what you are talking about," Alison replied after regaining her footing.
She stood straight up, eyes to the front, trying hard to ignore Oliva and her gang.
Of course, Oliva could not stand being neglected by the girl she had been bullying without much effort since their second year in middle school.
Seeing that Alison paid no attention to her, Oliva felt ashamed and could not help but yank at her arm, "Can't we just talk about the good old days? It’s been a long time."
As she ridiculed her, Oliva grabbed Alison by the arm and would not let her go.
