Alison handed Luis the pen.
The coffee table was a little low, so both Alison and Luis had to bend down to look at the papers and exercise books.
Alison was a little nearsighted. Her left eye was -0.5D while her right eye was -0.75D. Therefore, the doctor did not suggest she wear glasses.
She took notes in class while listening to the lecture. Her nearsightedness did not affect her much, except when the math teacher solved problems on the blackboard, and the other teachers usually projected a PowerPoint presentation to the screen.
Alison usually didn't think her nearsightedness had much of an impact on her life. At this point, she noticed a problem.
The coffee table and the couch were almost equal in height. When she sat on it, she was a little higher than the table. And Luis, who was sitting next to her, was already bent over. If she leaned over again, she would have to touch him.
Alison had to sit like that Because she was more than half a meter away from the table, she felt that the paper looked a little blurry.
Although she could hear Luis' words, she couldn't follow him as she looked at the steps. It turned out that after Luis finished teaching her how to solve that math problem, she was still thinking about the solution process.
"Did you understand?" After Luis taught her how to solve it, he straightened up and looked at Alison sideways.
As soon as he looked up, he found Alison looking at him in embarrassment. "I’m... I'm a little nearsighted, so I didn't see the paper clearly just now."
Luis was about to run out of patience. He usually ignored the other classmates asking him questions. He had just taught Alison the solution to the math problem, but she hadn't understood. His grip on the pen was loosened. When he was about to let her do it herself, he didn't expect Alison to suddenly whisper, "I'm sorry."
"Come here."
He suddenly pushed the coffee table forward and pulled the stool over. Then, he kicked the stool to let her sit down.
Alison was stunned for a moment, then reacted by getting up and sitting on the stool.
"Can you see it clearly?"
She nodded her head in embarrassment. " Yup, Luis.”
Luis took the pencil and then told Alison how he had solved that math question.
