Scarlett hung up and glanced at Katherine. Scarlett asked, "What did you say?"
Katherine continued her report immediately. Scarlett heard the report and thought about it. She said," Investigate it again."
Katherine said, "Ms. Reed, OK."
Katherine had worked for Scarlett for five years and knew that Scarlett was farsighted. If she thought that the project was propitious, the project would be profitable. If she thought that the project was not propitious, the result would be as she expected.
Scarlett asked Katherine to investigate it again. Obviously, it meant that the company was not as perfect as the documents described.
Katherine asked, "Ms. Reed, what about the annual party?"
Scarlett said, "As before."
She wouldn't take part in the party.
Katherine understood her meaning and said, "OK, I will send the speech to your email."
Scarlett didn't take part in the annual party. On behalf of Scarlett, Katherine made the speech every year.
Scarlett was generous. She always privately sponsored the awards of the party with a large amount of money.
Thus, even though Scarlett didn't take part in the party, the employees preferred her to other shareholders.
It was natural. Scarlett was a taciturn and generous president. No one would dislike her.
Scarlett nodded, "OK."
She looked at her watch and said, "If there is nothing special, I have to leave."
She had an appointment with Jared. They would have lunch together. It had been a whole year. She had invested in the YetLeague for six months. At the end o f the year, the YetLeague would start its Series B funding.
Scarlett was the investor of its Series A funding. It would be perfect if she continued to take part in its Series B funding.
Before that, she needed to have a talk with Jared.
