He was tall and had long legs. He crossed the crowd in a few steps and walked up to Scarlett,
"Scarlett."
Scarlett stopped and gave him a glance, "I didn't expect that such a busy shot as Mr. Shaw would take time out of his busy schedule to come to our small company's annual meeting.
She said something unfriendly when she opened her mouth.
Raymond looked at her. He didn't seem to hear the unfriendliness in her words, "You look beautiful today."
"Oh, thank you."
The expression on Scarlett's face didn’t change. There was nothing but a polite smile.
If it wasn't the company's annual meeting today, she would throw Raymond out.
"Is Libby here for the vase?"
Scarlett did not expect him to know about it, "Did Alexander tell you?"
Only Alexander would say those things to Raymond.
Raymond betrayed Alexander unceremoniously," Yes."
He responded, bowing his head and taking a slight sip of wine.
Scarlett raised her eyebrow and said, "Mr. Shaw, please sit here. Excuse me."
"Scarlett."
He didn't reach out to stop her but just called out behind her.
Scarlett stopped but didn't turn around. She looked straight down at the glass she was holding, "Let's talk about it for some other time. I don't want to ruin the atmosphere today."
Raymond's throat strained and then he said, "Okay."
He just wanted to say sorry to her, sincerely and seriously.
But he knew that Scarlett probably didn't want to hear it.
She probably didn't even want to see him anymore.
Scarlett nodded and walked away, carrying her dress.
