Temptation From Her Ex-husband novel Chapter 199

Scarlett slept until eleven o'clock the next day. She opened her eyes. Sunlight came in through a chink in the curtains.

She squinted and subconsciously said, "Hilla, open the window". Sitting for a moment, Scarlett remembered that she was now in Chatbury City, not Juanton City.

She was a little uncomfortable with this.

It was colder in Chatbury City than in Juanton City. It was a rare sunny day. The sun was shining brightly.

Scarlett ate a bowl of noodles and took a book, sitting i n the rocking chair on the balcony while reading.

It was quite pleasant.

The day passed quickly. Alexis had to start acting in a TV drama tomorrow. Before boarding the plane, she said a lot to Scarlett on the phone.

Finally, Alexis, who was always carefree, asked, "How come you replied to my message so late last night?"

Scarlett was flipping through a book. She paused. "I was looking for a taxi."

"You didn't find a taxi in more than half an hour? Do you have another sweetie? Otherwise, why didn't you call me and let me take you back? You don't answer m e. That means yes. Am I right? My goodness. Lettie, you're really something!"

Scarlett couldn't stand her wild thoughts. "Something happened."

"What happened? Did Jadon send someone to threaten you?"

Scarlett clucked. "You turned a year older and wiser."

"That explains it. The hospital's Wi-Fi should be good s o that we can chat smoothly. How much did you pay them in compensation?"

Alexis learned to fight back.

Scarlett raised an eyebrow. "Do I look like such a violent person?"

Would she casually put someone in the hospital?

"Yes."

"I'm hanging up."

Alexis hastily called out, "No! You haven't told me what happened."

Scarlett chuckled. "Haven't you guessed?"

Scarlett didn't say anything, but Alexis had said the end of the story. What else should Scarlett tell her?
