A "slap" rang in Raymond’s head. He felt like he had just been slapped hard by Scarlett.
The slap was invisible, but it was more embarrassing than a real slap.
His face darkened, and he looked coldly at Frank. " What’s there to look at?”
Frank stiffened and stood there while Raymond looked at him, his scalp tingling.
Nonetheless, Scarlett did not sound like she was joking earlier. Frank had also heard much about her these days.
He realized that the former Mrs. Shaw was not quite the same as what he thought.
"Mr. Shaw, Miss Reed sounded very mad. I-I think you’d better go and take a look."
Raymond put down the pen in his hand. "What were her exact words?"
Frank trembled. "I-I dare not say it.”
“Say it!"
"Miss Reed said, 'Please ask Raymond to come over to Shop A’s counter on the fourth floor of Central Plaza and get rid of the bad old lady from her family and his new lover. If he comes later than half an hour, don’t
blame me for being rude!"'
It was worth noting that Frank was indeed a qualified secretary. He was able to repeat the complex and argumentative sentences word for word with accuracy.
The only thing was that Raymond's face was more than just frighteningly cold after Frank finished.
Raymond only felt that his temples were twitching. Scarlett's words were like thorns that stabbed his body, making him feel uncomfortable.
He had always disliked getting involved in women’s affairs, but he could not hold it back anymore today.
