Scarlett was almost done eating. She took one last sip of her wine. "I'm done, Mr. Shaw, Mr. Smith, I'll leave first."
Then she lifted her hand and was about to ask the waiter for the bill. At that moment, Raymond reached out and clasped her wrist, "Wait."
Scarlett looked at her wrist being clasped in his hand, and she raised her eyebrows, and the smile on her face faded. "Mr. Shaw?"
Raymond let go of her hand. He gestured with his chin toward Alexander. "The meal is on him."
Alexander was eating his udon noodles. When he heard Raymond's words, he looked up at Raymond. He almost spat out "What’s the f*ck!", but he was choked b y Raymond's stern eyes.
He couldn't fight Raymond.
Scarlett glanced at Raymond, and then her eyes fell on Alexander. "Well, thank you, Mr. Smith."
Since someone volunteered to pay the bill, she was glad to grand him the honor.
"My pleasure."
Alexander smiled. The corners of his mouth twitched when he met Raymond's eyes.
Raymond must be out of his mind! He wouldn't even allow Alexander to look at Scarlett!
Scarlett grabbed her handbag and walked out of the restaurant. Raymond followed her.
She didn't say a word, and neither did he.
Seeing her car, Scarlett stopped. She glanced at Raymond and asked, "Mr. Shaw, what do you want?"
"I didn't drive my car. Please give me a ride."
He said "please," yet there was no hint of sorry on his face.
Scarlett laughed, "Raymond, you can use that trick once. But you're using it a second time. Do you think I'm a fool or you're a fool?"
"I am."
Without even thinking about it, Raymond gave his answer.
Scarlett did not expect the man to admit that he was a fool in such haste. For a moment, she was speechless.
Scarlett compressed her lips slightly. "Sorry, but I don't want to give you a ride."
"I'll drive."
