As he heard the woman's voice, his closed eyes moved slightly.
Yvonne gazed at Raymond standing on the terrace in the darkness. He looked sad and stern.
She didn't dare to go forward, standing 10 feet away from him at the door.
She saw clearly what had just happened. She couldn't believe that this proud man apologized to Scarlett.
"Why do you love her so much? Pretty face? What else does Scarlett have that is worthy of your love?"
Raymond was extremely depressed. However, someone still came over and spoke ill of Scarlett.
He snorted and turned to look at Yvonne standing in the doorway. "Who do you think you are to criticize her? You don't even get to be her maid, Yvonne."
"You don't even get to be her maid, Yvonne."
This sentence was like a sharp knife. Yvonne shivered.
He had coldly called her Ms. Sheridan for so many years. Tonight he called her Yvonne for the first time, but he was defending Scarlett.
Yvonne was mad. "Why do you think I'm inferior to her, Raymond? Why?"
She was resentful. She couldn't accept that she was not as good as Scarlett.
Raymond just looked at her frostily as if she was a clown.
Finally, Yvonne was chilled by his gaze. She screamed, covered her face, and ran away.
After that, the terrace was quiet again.
Raymond curled his lips. "Stupid."
How dared she compare herself with Scarlett?
Scarlett followed Henry into the lounge. Thinking of what just happened, she looked back at Henry. "Sorry, I've made trouble for you."
Henry unscrewed the cap of a mineral water bottle and handed it to her. "It's okay. I'm just worried about you."
He raised an eyebrow. "It seems that your ex-husband still loves you."
