Scarlett stood there for two seconds before she withdrew her gaze and turned around to go up to the third floor. She changed into a loose shirt and cotton pants, then she went down again.
Michael had finished all the dishes and was standing while taking pasta at the dining table.
Scarlett entered the kitchen to wash her hand. She saw the four dishes and a soup on the dining table, then she looked at the youth opposite her. "You’re a good cook."
"Practice makes perfect."
The other party had little interest in talking. Scarlett was also not Alexis, hence she curled her lips slightly and did not say anything else.
Despite that, she was right; Michael was indeed a good cook, so much so that even she, a great cook, was quite envious.
After eating and drinking enough, Scarlett cared for Michael like an older sister, which was rare. "You just turned 18 this year?"
"Mm."
"Should you be in school at this age?"
"Elder Sister Alexis said to sign the contract first while she helps me with my enrollment here."
"Oh."
Scarlet responded. She took a sip of her soup and asked another question, "Your family doesn’t have a problem with it?"
The teenager's face instantly turned cold. Scarlett shrugged and finished the last mouthful of soup inside the bowl. "I'll wash the plates."
"I'll wash."
Michael had stood up. Scarlett withdrew her hands and did not fight with him.
While Michael went to wash the plates, Scarlett cut the honeydew she had just bought. She brought them t o the living room and turned on the TV, and she enjoyed the fruits after dinner.
Michael was done washing the plates very quickly. Scarlett pointed at the melons on the table. "They’re very sweet."
"Mm."
