Alexander stiffened momentarily, having a sense of foreboding that this was going to be a rough night.
Scarlett had been standing right beside Raymond. Though Raymond hadn't put Alexander on speaker, she had still overheard most parts of their conversation.
After he hung up, she smiled, "Let's go back.
Raymond lowered his head and looked at her for a while before he agreed reluctantly, "Okay."
Just now the mood had been perfect. How romantic the moment would have been if he had kissed her!
He cursed Alexander inwardly.
Scarlett looked at him, lowered her eyes and snickered.
After walking a few paces, Scarlett paused and gave his hand a pull. "Raymond."
"What's the matter?"
He turned to look at her.
Scarlett smiled, "I think I got bitten by a mosquito."
With that she held out her hand and rolled up her sleeve to reveal her fair-skinned arm.
Suspecting nothing, Raymond lowered his head to scrutinize her arm, but there was no mosquito bite on her snow-white arm.
The look in his eyes flickered. "Maybe it's just—"
Before he could finish his sentence, Raymond felt something soft pressed against his lips.
It was Scarlett.
He soon caught on, wrapped his arm around her waist and cupped her chin to kiss her amorously.
Their kiss was bolder than usual, maybe because being in the wilderness served as some kind of stimulus to them.
Suddenly, a ringtone was heard, dampening their ardor. Scarlett instantly came to herself and, face flushed, rearranged her clothes.
