"Hey, Martin. There you are. Your dream girl's here!"
Scarlett lifted her brows slightly and raised her head to see a fashionably dressed man walking inside. The man's eyes noticeably lit up at the sight of her. "Well, well, well. Am I hallucinating? We got a big shot here!"
Martin walked over and boldly sized Scarlett up. "We haven't seen each other for five years, Scarlett. How come you're still so pretty?"
Scarlett glanced at him and smiled," Thanks. You haven't changed a bit either." 'Your lack of taste hasn't changed a bit,' she added silently.
Jane next to them chipped in, "I mentioned you to Scarlett only a second ago! You're single now, aren’t you? As chance would have it, Scarlett is single as well! Back then when we were in college, you were always saying Scarlett was your dream girl, weren’t you? Well, here comes your chance. Do not let it slip through your fingers, Martin!"
Martin’s eyes, fixed on Scarlett, brightened even further at Jane’s words. He pulled out his cellphone and began to look for something on it. Seconds later, he handed it to Scarlett. ”1 bought this when I had nothing else to do a couple of days ago. Do you like it, Scarlett? If you do, I'll give it to you tomorrow."
On his phone screen was a picture of an Alovarance handbag which was worth 100,000 dollars or so.
Only a fool would fall for the story that Martin, a man, had bought a handbag because he had nothing else to do.
Scarlett chuckled, "What's the price of this handbag?"
Many people's faces changed at her words.
They wondered how a girl with such a charming temperament and good looks had become a gold digger.
The smugness and enjoyment on Jane's face deepened as she noticed the contempt in her classmates’ eyes.
Looking at Scarlett's good-looking eyes, Martin lifted his brows complacently, "It's not expensive. About 120,000 dollars."
Scarlett's lips curved in a thin smile as she said, "Then it's indeed not expensive. Such a cheap handbag is beneath me."
