The phone call was from Larry. Scarlett glanced at Raymond, "It's Larry."
Raymond let go of her and sat on the sofa, watching her answer the phone.
"How are you getting along with Peyton?"
Scarlett said awkwardly, "Larry, actually..."
Larry seemed to be talking to someone, so Scarlett had to stop.
"What did you say?" Larry said, paused slightly, and continued, "If you don’t like Peyton, I can introduce my other friends to you."
'It doesn't matter...'
Scarlett had planned to tell the truth.
Hearing Larry's words, she laughed helplessly, "There was something wrong with my friend these days, so I am very busy. I didn't meet Peyton."
She didn't lie. After all, she had indeed been quite busy these days and hadn't met with Peyton for more than ten days.
Larry was silent for a while and said, "You can get along with each other. If you don't have any feelings for him, just forget it."
He was open-minded. He introduced Scarlett to Peyton just because he was very angry. He wanted to give Scarlett more options while upsetting Raymond.
Of course, it would be great if Scarlett ended up liking someone else But in fact, if she still loved Raymond and chose him, he could do nothing to break them up.
"Larry, I got it."
"Are you still in touch with Raymond?"
Scarlett glanced at Raymond on the sofa," I’ve been busy with my friend’s business lately."
Scarlett was smart. She didn't deny that she had contact with Raymond. How Larry understood her words was up to himself.
Obviously, Larry was satisfied with her answer. He said, "Do you need my help?"
Hearing that, Scarlett was touched and said guiltily, "No, thank you."
