Scarlett was aware of Harold's eyes on her. She didn't expect that Harold would dare to covet her.
Harold was so bold.
Scarlett withdrew her eyes, smiling at Raymond. "Alexander is over there."
Raymond's face softened. He nodded. "Yes."
There were a lot of their acquaintances at the dinner party. Besides Alexander and Stephen, Libby and Darrell were also here.
Probably because Scarlett did Libby a favor at the auction, Libby was not as hostile to Scarlett as before. "Ms. Reed."
Scarlett looked at her with a faint smile. "
Ms. Jones. What a surprise!"
Yet they were rivals, not friends.
Just after greeting Libby and the others, Alexander and Stephen walked over.
"Raymond, Scarlett."
Alexander raised his chin and glanced at Libby. "Libby, you're here."
"Alexander."
Libby called him. Knowing that the four of them were familiar with each other, Libby sensibly left with Darrell.
After walking a few steps, Libby looked back at Scarlett who was standing beside Raymond.
The news about Raymond came out this morning and spread throughout Juanton City. Libby's friends were all talking about that.
Of course, those rich young ladies didn't think much. They cared more about whether Scarlett and Raymond would break up again than they did about the future of Tenton.
Although Scarlett didn't compete with Libby at the auction, Scarlett had taught Libby two lessons. Libby felt humiliated. Thus, she wouldn't take Scarlett as her friend just because of what Scarlett did at the auction.
