Roland looked at the message on his phone, "The fairy tale is over," and he abruptly slammed his phone on the floor.
'Scarlett, damn woman!'
Scarlett was right. He and Linley had been separated for two years, and now Linley could file for divorce in court. Linley could wait two years, but Roland couldn't.
Not to mention two years, even if it was two months, he could not afford to wait!
Obviously, Linley had the upper hand this time.
Katherine made an appointment with Roland to meet with Linley at 2:30. After they had lunch, it was 1:30. They went to a cafe near the City Hall.
At 2:20, Katherine saw a car parked across the street in front of City Hall, and Roland stepped out of the car.
She hurriedly told Scarlett and Linley, "Ms. Reed, Ms. Tucker, Roland is here."
Scarlett gave a soft tsk and looked across the street at the man.
Across the wide street, they recognized Roland standing in front of the City Hall.
Linley was a little nervous. She subconsciously tugged on the strap of her handbag. She was about to get up to meet Roland, but Scarlett stopped her, "Don't worry. Wait for a few more minutes."
Scarlett only asked Roland not to be late, while she didn’t ask him to be early.
Linley understood Scarlett's intentions.
She nodded and sat quietly.
After five minutes, Scarlett smiled, "Time to go. Good luck with you!"
Then she helped Linley straighten her clothes. "I can do a lot of things for you, but for this one, you need to handle it yourself, Linley."
"I know."
