Temptation From Her Ex-husband novel Chapter 770

As the curtains were shut, the bedroom was dim when Scarlett awoke. Realizing that Raymond wasn't in the room, she rolled over and the covers fell off the bed. Then she asked Hilla to open the curtains.

The curtains opened slowly, and the sunshine was less glaring than midday. She got up and went out of the room in her slippers.

She was dying for a glass of water.

Before she went downstairs, she smelled the food. She went to the kitchen and found Raymond cooking.

Hearing the footsteps, Raymond turned around to see her, "Did you have a good sleep?" "Yeap."

Then she poured herself a glass of water and stood far away to watch him cook.

It had never occurred to Scarlett that Raymond would cook for her.

Also, she was unaware that she could be the one who enjoyed it.

But honestly, that made her feel good.

"I'll get it over soon. Could you wait outside?

Scarlett did not move. Raymond looked at her again and motioned her out.

She raised her eyebrows and smiled, "All right, I'll be out."

There was nothing she could do to help in the kitchen anyway.

Raymond did have a remarkable talent for cooking. The dishes he cooked were all delicious, though it was his first time.

Scarlett suddenly remembered how she had accidentally turned delicious food into dark cuisine. At that moment, she thought God showed partiality to Raymond.

Neither she nor Raymond learned to cook. Why was Raymond so good at cooking?

"What are you thinking about?"

Raymond looked at her in mystification.

Hearing his voice, Scarlett looked up at him, "I was thinking, why is God so unfair?"

Raymond got her point and showed a rare smile, "Happiness lies in contentment with what we have."
