Scarlett looked down at the agreement that Frank had handed over. She didn't need to look at it to know what it was.
"I see."
Frank was afraid Scarlett would misunderstand, so he explained, "Ms. Reed, this gift agreement was notarized and signed by Mr. Shaw a year ago. Don't misunderstand."
"I didn't misunderstand."
Could she not know what kind of person Raymond was?
Scarlett looked at him and smiled, leaned over, and got into the car.
When she returned to the villa, Scarlett threw the pile of paperwork in her hands onto the coffee table. Then she picked up the gift agreement and tore the seal to take out the agreement inside.
If Raymond had an accident or betrayed Scarlett during their time together, Raymond would give Scarlett all of his shares in Teuton.
He hadn’t betrayed her but had an accident.
Scarlett closed her eyes and leaned back on the couch behind her, raising a hand to rest on top of her eyes.
She was still having a hard time.
As time went by, they still couldn't find Raymond or his body. Neither the police nor Katherine could find any information about Raymond.
And they couldn't find Quinn, the strange woman who showed up at the hotel that night and hit on Raymond.
However, as time went by, the news of Raymond's disappearance could not be concealed permanently.
Because of Frank's strong presence in Fenton and Scarlett's response to the public, the news of Raymond's disappearance did not get out at first.
Scarlett and Frank unanimously said Raymond had gone abroad to negotiate cooperation projects. And they couldn't yet expose what project Raymond was negotiating with.
However, such an excuse could not cover up for long. Half a month after Raymond's disappearance, the rumors about his disappearance spread in the circle from nowhere. And some said that his disappearance had been reported to the police.
Alexander was the first to hear the rumors in the circle. He was so angry that he directly found out the person who spread the rumor. And he forced that person to clarify that night.
However, the rumor did not come out of thin air. Since Raymond had not appeared in public for nearly twenty days. No matter how hard Scarlett and Frank tried to deny it, the shareholders of Tenton did not believe that Raymond had gone abroad to negotiate the project.
