"Hmm."
Scarlett replied, "He had an accident six months ago."
"Well, what a pity.”
Looking at the man who looked exactly like Raymond in front of her, Scarlett felt her mind was in turmoil.
"You don’t look well. Are you not feeling well? Do you need me to walk you to the lounge?"
"Could you help me?"
Scarlett pinched her palm. She looked down slightly and collected the tears under her eyes.
She hadn't seen Raymond in a hundred and twenty-six days. She missed him so much.
Chris regained his composure, looked at Scarlett for two seconds, and then said, " Come with me."
"Thanks."
Chris didn't say anything. He turned around and led Scarlett ahead.
Looking at his back, Scarlett felt his hand at her side move slightly. She lowered her eyes and looked at his hand. Then she couldn't help but reach out and tug on his sleeve as if she was possessed and couldn't control her body.
Chris felt a sudden tug on the sleeve of his hand. Then he stopped and looked back at the woman behind him. "I don't really like people touching me."
"I'm a little dizzy. Can you help me for a moment?"
Scarlett said, pausing slightly. "Given your hotel’s hospitality, you wouldn't watch me pass out right in front of you, would you?"
Scarlett looked straight at him as she said this.
Chris' dark eyes looked cold, but she didn't dodge either. The two of them just stared at each other for about three seconds. Then Chris said, "Whatever."
Was she threatening him?
However, just as Chris's voice broke off, the woman in front of Chris suddenly closed her eyes and literally fainted right in front of him.
He knew it was a trick played by this woman. However, it was as if his body was out of control. Before Chris could react, he had reached out to catch her.
The scent of this woman's body unexpectedly did not make him sick.
